Doug Grimsted, Chief Executive Officer
Doug has been changing the game in data and analytics for over 25 years. With experience ranging from localized computer databases, to state of the art cloud computing, he has always been on the cutting edge. Doug started Aginity because he saw that the future of customer data contained both huge Business Intelligence potential as well as possible chaos, and realized that there needed to be someone positioned to end fragmentation.
Prior to his tenure at Aginity, he was COO of ActiveRFID, President at Auction Science, and CEO at Geneer, a software consulting and design firm. Doug holds an Engineering degree from Purdue University and lives in Evanston, IL with his wife and their two daughters.
Dan Kuhn, Chief Technical Officer
Dan has been at the forefront of innovation and has been a recognized authority in data and software development for over 18 years. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, Dan has married a deep sense of creativity with solution driven approaches to make technological impacts across several industries.
His passion for data architecture and software development has placed him in a number of leadership positions at companies such as American Express, Bankers Life & Casualty, Click Commerce, and Anticipating Minds, which he co-founded. Dan has also served on Microsoft’s .NET Advisory Council, providing feedback and direction for Microsoft’s .NET Platform.
Prior to joining Aginity, Dan was Chief Software Architect and CEO of Click Commerce, where he was one of the key drivers in helping them go public. He also holds two U.S. patents for cutting-edge thermodynamics solutions in the aerospace industry. Dan Lives in Evanston, IL with his wife and their two children.
Ted Westerheide, Chief Architect & Chairman
Ted has been building big data and analytic centric businesses for over 20 years. In fact, he is the brains behind Aginity’s Data Factory and Customer Insight Appliance. He has held leadership positions at IRI, Xcelerate (now Razorfish), Fusion Ventures (early stage investment) and PWC. Prior to joining Aginity, Ted was GM of Retailer Intelligence at ShopLocal, a retail technology and digital marketing company and SVP of Loyalty Analytics at IRI, a major market research company.
His passion for innovation and building big data and digital marketing software is only paralleled by his love of competitive cycling. Ted races with the Aginity team and has won several state and national titles. He holds a BA/BS in Electrical Engineering and Management from Rice University in Texas, and lives in Tampa, Florida.
Mike Blyth, Chief Operating Officer
Mike has been bringing the power of Big Data to marketing organizations for over 20 years. Throughout that time, he has been focused on, and very passionate about, personalization, customer engagement, and digital communications.
He possesses a broad range of experience across multiple industries including advanced analytics, communication, consumer durables, consumer products, information services, retail, and software. Mike has held senior management positions at Aimia, IRI, Baxter Consulting, Capgemini Worldwide, 121 Marketing, Salerno Foods, LifeFitness, Kraft, Spectra Marketing Solutions, and The Alcar Group.
He holds a BS in Food Science from the University of Redding and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Mike lives in Evanston with his wife. They have three grown children.
Tzaras Christon, Executive Vice President, Growth
Tzaras has used the power of Big Data to grow market share and large brands for over 18 years in the enterprise technology, telecom, automotive, financial services, home services, and education industries.
Prior to joining Aginity, Tzaras was a member of the executive team at Leapfrog Online, a leading digital marketing solution provider. At Leapfrog, he packaged the company’s solutions and created new industry groups, growing revenue in those areas from approximately $1M to $70M by selling predictive, prescriptive, and segmentation-driven marketing systems. He also served as Principal of the Synetro Group, a private investment and go-to-market advisory firm, and as the Vice President of Strategy and Development for Leo Burnett’s Technology Group.
Tzaras holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Kansas as well as a U.S. patent for a system that optimizes lead close rates. He lives in Evanston with his wife and their three Children.
