Aginity Amp Features

Analytic Management Software
How it Works

Aginity Amp speeds development, co-locates data and math, and enables distributed analytics, unleashing the full potential of your applications by providing three core capabilities to users across the enterprise:

Catalog your data
Data Management

Loading Wizard
Get step-by-step guidance for registering data sources in Amp.
Map your data to:

  • New or existing dimensional types
  • Attributes
  • References

Plus, changes in data are automatically tracked as they are introduced into Amp, so you always have a backlog of history.

Data Management Workbench
Aginity Workbenches are your ecosystem to take action. The Data Management Workbench allows you to:

  • Design your analytic warehouse
  • Define and map data sources
  • Set audit, balance, and control options for data loading
  • Import data models for any industry
  • Add accelerators for common data sources and applications

The data model is designed and exposed in a user-friendly fashion, providing business-friendly access to all data in the analytic management software.

Create once. Reuse endlessly.
Analytic Management

Attribute Workbench

Designed for users with spreadsheet-level skills, the Attribute Workbench allows you to combine and aggregate all data for run-time publication.

As a form-based user interface, the Attribute Workbench empowers you to:

  • Create powerful derived attributes
  • Use derived attributes as building blocks to create more complete and complex algorithms
  • Distribute to other applications via Amp publication

Analytic Manager
Amp Analytic Manager makes it easy for users to create advanced attributes in a free-form interface. The non-SQL interface allows users to create attributes and analytics while still allowing SQL writers to build and investigate in traditional SQL.

  • Expert users. Create templates by writing parameterized SQL
  • Users without SQL knowledge. Configure the templates created by your expert users for use in runtime publications.

Plus, federate across the Apache Hadoop® framework to publish attributes built using hive query language (HQL).

Take immediate action on your insights
Analytic Distribution

Get end-to-end guidance for publishing data mart tables or extracts from the analytic warehouse.

Users can self-serve by publishing the cataloged data and math, seamlessly together.

Once you’ve published, expose the results to:

  • Statistical modeling applications
  • Business intelligence applications
  • Campaign management applications
  • Email service providers
  • Data management platforms
  • Operational data stores

Analytics alone aren’t enough
What Are Attributes?

Attributes are the manifestation of your math in the form of a data field like “last web visit date,” “predicted churn date,” or “profitability.” Amp stores the math used to calculate these attributes and allows users to attach them to customers, products, or any dimension as a “virtual field,” alongside data such as customer name, birthdate, and gender or product size, style, and color.

Unlike business intelligence, data wrangling, or visualization applications that produce reports, attributes allow you to take immediate action. Think of attributes like reusable building blocks of insight, simplifying and enabling business intelligence, statistical modeling, segmentation, and personalization.

Where data and math come together
Enterprise Capabilities

Our enterprise software is not used to perform any one operational task—it’s the place where data and math come together to produce useful attributes that can provide more robust and efficient inputs into your other applications.

Amp doesn’t replace any of your statistical modeling, marketing automation, or visualization applications—it’s designed to work with your existing analytic or marketing ecosystem, making these applications better and more cost effective. Amp does the heavy lifting so you require fewer licenses and resources for adjacent applications and infrastructure.

Ecosystem Accelerators
Amp accelerators allow you to distribute attributes throughout the ecosystem faster with importable blueprints for major data providers, marketing applications, and vertical industries. Our software is industry-independent and serves a very broad set of use cases. Pull from common providers and marketing applications like:

  • Data source definitions for ESPs, web analytics, and campaign systems
  • Industry data models for retail, digital, and customer marketing
  • Publication definitions for marketing execution systems

Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) Database
It’s time for less data movement with greater performance. With Amp running on an MPP database, you can operate on premise or in our hosted environment without the need for additional servers and networks. MPP powers the entire Amp analytic solution, performing all processing in-database.
